Yesterday I was practicing my makeup skills and this look actually came out so good! My first thought was “I have to blog this!” I love to share new looks with you guys, especially because it can take a lot of time to figure out new looks. Not only does it take a lot of time, but bold colors can be intimidating and I want everyone to be confident in their makeup! If you are like me and bold colors can scare you, kick it to the curb and rock that bold look!
This look was inspired by an outfit that I bought when shopping with my mom, in this store called Olive. I have been trying to come up with something to match the outfit and this is the look!
The main attraction/ star of the show is the Jaclyn Hill Palette! *My fave palette ever*
I always start with my eyes concealed with my Maybelline FitMe and set it with a translucent powder.
The first colors I went in with were Creamsicle and butter. I mixed the two shades together and blended them into my crease (with a fluffy brush) as well as above my crease; dang near my brow! You can bring it up as far as you like because makeup is personalized!
I tend to go above the crease because I have pretty hooded eyes and it helps to see the makeup on my eye better.
Next I took the shade Hunts on a more densley packed brush and I put that directly in the crease.
Then I took a flat brush and packed this blue-green shade, named Jada on my whole lid as well as up into my crease where hunts is.
Bringing the green up into the red color darkens up the red and makes the look as a whole, more cohesive.
For my lower lash line, I mixed Creamsicle and Butter on the same fluffy brush I used originally and blended the colors on the lash line and a bit lower. Then I took a pencil brush and blended Hunts very close to my lash line, and finished with shade Jada right on top of where I put Hunts.
I used my Bobbi Brown Gel liner to line my top lash line before applying my false lashes!
On the lips I used KKW Creme liquid lipstick in the shade KIKI. Anything in a nude-pinky nude would look great with this (my opinion)!
