New L’Oreal!

This post has been a long time coming. I picked up two new (to me) L’Oreal products quite a few weeks ago, but I wanted to see how I really felt about them before I wrote a post in order to give you guys my FULL Opinion. So, lets get started.

First up is the L’Oreal Revitalift Anti-Wrinkle + Firming Eye Cream Treatment. The product has 0.5 FL oz which is average for an eye cream, The packaging is clean, white and quite nice, the container is a solid glass or porcelain material, thick enough that if dropped it won’t break.

The product itself is quite nice and I noticed a difference almost instantly after using it. Right before I purchased this product, I had been having trouble sleeping, studying all day and stressing over my exams, meaning I had horrible under eye bags. This product helped reduce the bags and brighten up the area! Not only did it help me diminish my dark circles, but the skin around my eyes is super soft. I do not suffer to badly from eye wrinkles yest, all I can say is I do notice how well this product works for my other issues and overall, this product is a great find!

The second product that I picked up was the L’Oreal Age perfect Anti- Sagging and Ulta Hydrating Day Cream With Dermo-Peptide SPF 15- Long name I KNOW! The packaging is just as great as the eye cream, very thick glass like material and white coloring.

Besides the packaging being very appealing, I love the product! I am the type of person that likes SPF to be in my lotion because lets be real, I am too lazy to apply SPF and THEN lotion before starting my makeup. I’m just not that type of girl 😮 *shocker* I really enjoy this lotion because the SPF doesn’t start to bunch up or peel off (something I have noticed in other brands).

Have you tried any L’Oreal skincare?

Review: E.L.F lip exfoliant

Hello everyone! Today is a E.L.F Lip Exfoliant review! Lip exfoliators are so important for keeping your lips soft. Some lip exfoliation products can be so expensive, but I like this one because it is around $4 and works so well! I have mine in a minty flavor and the taste is decent, but very artificial (not that it is meant to be eaten). This is great because it is in the shape of a lipstick, which makes the application very easy. When rubbing this on the lips, you can feel the little grit that is in this, but it doesn’t hurt. I usually rub this on my lips like a lipstick, rub my lips together, and wipe it off! That’s it! Super quick and easy with great results! I do this a few times a month and honestly this little stick has lasted me quite a while! I recommend this to anyone looking for a great lip exfoliator!

What do you use for exfoliating your lips?

Review: Estée Lauder Nightwear Plus Anti-Oxidant Night Detox Créme

Hey everyone! Today I am doing a quick review on the Estée Lauder NightWear Plus! Let me tell you what, I love this stuff! The smell isn’t too strong, but is a light cucumber scent (to me). The texture is very creamy and light , not heavy nor greasy.

The Performance

First of all, this did not break me out (yay!). After using this for a few nights, my skin looked very nice. My skin was more plump and smooth in the mornings, my redness diminished, and my facial skin became very soft! This product is very hydrating and after consecutive use, makes your skin look like it has a healthy glow from within! This product is $56.00 and I think it is worth every penny!

Have you tried the NightWear Plus?

Hello everyone! Today I am doing an empties post! Today I have realized that it actually takes me forever to use up a product, even the ones that I do not use sparingly. I have been collecting some of these bottle for a while now because I knew that I would someday write a post about them. I have never done an empties post on the blog, so I am super excited! I hope you guys enjoy!! Continue reading

10 Skin Habits You Should Adopt

1. Be careful with how you wash your face

Pulling and tugging on your facial skin causes wrinkles. When washing your face, use hot water to wet the skin and open up pores, gently wash your face with cleanser and use cold water to rinse your face and close your pores!

2.Exfoliate your whole body!

Exfoliation is a major key to healthy skin! Chemical scrubs, sugar scrubs, and dry brushes are all great ways to clear the skin’s surface of dead skin cells that clog pores and keep the blood flow circulating nicely.

3.Drink a lot of water

Water is one of the purest, most healthy things for you on this planet. Drinking lots of water and staying hydrated helps your skin stay healthy and rejuvenated.

4.Use eye cream no matter your age

Eye cream isn’t something that should be used after aging signs have appeared. Eye creams help fight aging and keep the skin healthy! If you are young, use eye cream as a preventative. However, if you already see signs of aging, it is never too late to start using eye cream!

5.Use facial oils

Serum is made to penetrate deeply into the skin and deliver a very high concentration of active ingredients. Depending on your skin concern, determines what kind of serum can help you best. Whether it’s hydration, wrinkles, or skin brightening.

6.Add a toner to your routine

Toner helps to remove oil and dirt from the skins surface. Toners are also great for when you want extra cleaning after wearing makeup or other heavy skin products.

Sun damage ages the skin like nothing else. Using a sunscreen daily is essential to any skin care routine!

Vitamin C provides great antioxidants as well as promotes collagen production. Retinol smoothes wrinkles and boosts the skins elasticity.

9. Sleep with a humidifier

Sleeping with a humidifier on can really help with keeping your skin from getting dry!

I have noticed a big difference with my skin since I started sleeping with a humidifier on a couple of nights a week. I live in Florida which is a very humid climate, if you live somewhere with a dry climate, I would recommend using one every night.

10. Make sure the products you buy are made for your skin type.

This is a very important step! Make sure that you buy products geared towards your skin type. For example, I have combo skin and if I were to buy a product geared towards dry skin, the product would probably provide more moisture than my skin needs, making me look greasy.

Highlight Tips: How to have dewy looking skin

Today is a good day to come at ya with a quick post about a few highlight tips that I use in my makeup routine. A lot of the woman in my personal life aren’t that into makeup, but I want to share my tips! I want to talk about beauty with someone. So, I hope some of you find this little post helpful or fun to read if nothing else.

A good set spray

I love a good set spray or two, especially if my skin is feeling a bit dry! This can help lock in your makeup so that it doesn’t wear off. Some setting sprays are made to help with the dewy look. I use NYX Dewy setting spray as an affordable everyday spray. I also use Mac Fix+ because it provides amazing results and makes my makeup look like skin.

Serum mixed with foundation/ BB cream

This is a trick I use often! I use a few drops of my serum all over my face and I pat it in with my fingers. Then I apply my face makeup. Having serum mixed with foundation/ BB Cream helps add a “glowy from within” look.

A great highlight

There are so many you can try! Also, I feel like highlight is such a personal thing depending on a person’s skin color.

I have combination skin and I believe these things will work best for combo or dry skin. If you have skin that is more on the oily side, skip out on the extra serum and go for a more matte setting spray. This will still intensify the highlight without adding too much actual wet to the face. I hope you guys liked this post and I hope I gave you a few useful pointers!

Facial Skin care- it matters ( combo skin)

Skin care can vary from person to person; some of us have dry , some of us have combination and some of us have oily skin. All that matters is that we take care of ourselves! We only get one body in this life and taking care of it should be a major priority. I will list some products good for the combo skin type ( not all of these will work for your given skin but I do hope to get you guys started in the right direction!). I truly believe that skin care is one of the most important things you can do for yourself and if I can help in anyway I would love to!

Personally, I have combination skin, meaning my skin only gets oily in the T zone (the nose area and right above the nose on the forehead) The products that seem to work really well for me are the

1.) Mario Badesuc facial spray , I like the rosewater scent the most but the cucumber and green tea works just as well. This is something I use as a toner and as a facial spray whenever my skin is feeling dry. This spray is great for hydration and giving the skin a calming blast of rosewater.

2.) I use this nourishing Argan Oil which is great for making skins appearance brighter, making the the skin more supple and elastic, as well as helping with any texture. I take a couple drops of this, rub it between my hands and apply with a patting motion and leave it for 5 minutes to let it sink into the skin before I apply my lotions/creams. Believe me this product will do wonders for the skin.

3.) Eye cream is very important for the delicate eye area. Now this can be very specific due to individual needs. I am a 18 year old girl, so I can not provide recommendations for anything that helps with wrinkles or anything of that nature, but I can recommend some creams that I have tried and I like very much. Clinique All About Eyes, and Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Eye Cream. These are both great for the delicate eye skin, they provide the perfect amount of hydration, have no smell and most importantly, these do not burn or make the eyes water.

4.) Neck and decollete cream is so extremely important and can not be left out! we do wrinkle in this area; trying to fight and prolong this as much as possible is essential in any skin care routine (my opinion). I have recently been using the Marion Badescu Vitamin A-D-E Neck cream and I love it! The cream has no scent which doesn’t matter to me, but I do like to add info that in. The cream is very thick, goes on smoothly and hydrates well while not being too greasy!

I hope this helped some of you who may be looking for some products geared towards your skin type.
